Mike Hat has gone crazy on catnip! Endless runner with a cat.
A re-envisioned Asteroids with a little Booym thrown in.
First person 3D maze symbolic of my journey with Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
Next up will be a 2D retro platforming adventure game that combines dreams and a bit of Hindu mythology.
This will also be a 2D platforming adventure, but it likely won't be in a retro style.
I'm planning a tornado game with gameplay similar to Katamari.
I will try to post an update at least every month or so. Stay tuned!
It's been far too long since I've updated. I started a new job, where I had 3 months of training, and I've recently switched to 3rd shift. It's been a crazy ride! I've decided on some updates for Life is Sh!t, and I'm hoping to get that out fairly soon. It's going to be such a frustrating game, but that's the point. After that, I have big plans for a Spartacus game. Also, you may have noticed I updated the blog format.
I have also started a tornado prototype. I'd like to make a tornado game with a style similar to Katamari.
I have started prototyping my Dreamscape game. I'm still deciding the art style, but I'm leaning towards a retro pixel look.
Sorry for the lack of updates; I've sort of detoured to start my latest idea, Life is Sh!t. It's a first person 3D maze, with obstacles and enemies, and it's symbolic of my journey with Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
Glastroids is now available on the Google Play Store, and on Mac/PC in your browser. Additionally, I've submitted it and Cat Dash to an indie festival!
Cat Dash is available on the Google Play Store! Things have shifted a bit in my life, and I plan on cranking out some new stuff much more quickly than Cat Dash. Next project has been changed to an Asteroids/Booym and maybe Galaga mashup. I think it'll be pretty cool!
Cat Dash is finished, and you can play it right here on my website! Currently it's only available and working on Mac/PC. It will be released on mobile in the future! Stay tuned!
Meet Mike Hat, player character of my first game! I've decided on a retro (bit) style infinite runner. Do you guys like the name "Cat Dash" or "Catnip Craze" better? Let me know via email or on social media.
I have a Bachelors in Art (emphasis on painting), a minor in Art History, and a certificate in film studies. I developed an interest in coding in high school, and I was born playing video games. Basically.
All roads lead to Rome. Err, well, in this case, the roads have led me to game development. I'm excited and passionate about my projects, and I hope you will be too!
